I am at the last step "pay and file" and keep getting this message:Anyone know what to do? There was an issue with e-filing your 1099s.Try re-filing. If your account was charged, you won’t be charged again when you re-file. We apologize for the inconvenience. If you have questions, we’re here to help.
I submitted 940& 041 on January 2,2025 IT ONLY SAYS SUBMITTED TO INTUIT. It doesn't say submitted to agency or accepted we are now January 11,2025 I'm a little worried because it doesn't let me submit again
I have someone who has been an independent contractor for me during 2024. She is now becoming an employee for one service but still remaining a contractor for another specific service she offers me that I don't provide. I just marked her "inactive" as a contractor to set her up as an employee... but technically, she is both. Also, since she's now marked "inactive" as a contractor, she is not listed for me to set up 1099 filings for last year. How can she be marked as both?
When I launch my QB Desktop I get a critical alert message reading:Potential security risk due to end of support for your QuickBooks browser – Microsoft ended support for Internet Explorer 11 – the default browser in your version of QuickBooks Desktop. This may introduce a future security vulnerability to your product. How do I change the default browser?
Hello,I am currently creating a website for a client who has requested that payments be processed exclusively through QuickBooks, rather than any other platform. At the moment, I would like to bypass the "Apply to Accept Online Payments" page so I can test the features and ensure that the plugin is installed correctly. As this is my first time working with QuickBooks, I would greatly appreciate any guidance or assistance you can provide to help me get started.Thank you for your support!
how can i change the invoice reminder template message
The Invoices and Received Payments do not give a total at the bottom, I always have to do that manually, is there a way to get this total in the report itself?
In my first quarter of doing payroll in Quickbooks, I've learned that my WA State Paid Family Medical Leave "Other Tax" payroll item is not set at the correct rate. I know how to go in and update and adjust previous paychecks/liabilities. My question is how do I update the rate of the current Payroll Item? I can't find anywhere to do that! Do I have to create new payroll item and start fresh this quarter?
I need to provide data for a work comp premium audit. I have a brewpub where employees earn tips, which are a pay type, but not applicable for worker comp premiums. I need a report that lists 2025 payroll with tips (pay types) broken out for current and terminated employees. I also need the work comp class displayed to isolate owner pay form the audit as well. I can manually deduct the one owner's comp if necessary. The "PayrollAggregatedReport" would work great, but there's no setting to include terminated employees. Other reports I found do not break out pay types, or present the data in a way that can be easily pivoted or summed for the year. Please, please, please provide me a solution so I don't have to waste an hour with QBO's useless support.
I want to export my active item list to excel. When I do export it also sends my inactive items. Is there a way to only export my active items?
I get it. Security is important, but who decided....When user is logged out every 3 hours due to inactivity, logging back in to a tab takes that user back to the home screen instead of reopening where the tab last was.....Why does every other open tab still needs refreshed - seems that logging in should refresh all automatically. And when another open tab is refreshed after inactivity, why does it also reverts back to the home screen?Don't most users have 4-5 tabs open minimum during sessions? Who thunk forcing every one of us to remember and reopen all tabs to get back to where we were was a good idea?.Lastly, can that person be forced to use QBO desktop app? I figure that is when this obvious shortfall will be fixed? And why did this 3 hour signout start happening only a week ago - hasn't been a problem all year long.
Hi all, Long-time lurker, first-time poster. I recently got hired with an accounting firm that is utilizing Quickbooks Desktop a little differently than probably most companies (certainly a lot different than my previous employer). Sidenote: while I'm generally proficient with QB, I'm far from an expert. The firm does not utilize the payroll function of QB whatsoever. We use it to write checks, record bank deposits, and record journal entries for payroll and other miscellaneous transactions. There is an employee who has been receiving payroll advances for several months now. An "other current asset" sub-account was created and, twice per month, a check has been written to the employee, with the sub-account I mentioned being used as an offset. Now it's time for the employee to repay the advances, and I'm not sure how to process the transactions. The repayments are being withheld from the employee's checks (the firm utilizes a third-party
Can I download QB Checking Statements in a CSV or QBO format? It looks like only pdf's are available. If not, is there any other way to get 2022 QB Checking data back into QB Online? It appears to have been deleted.
When I view a check ( or bill pay check) I do not see ON THE CHECK (not the register) that it was cleared. In other versions of QB I see a check mark (ON THE CHECK not the register) and some with the date it was reconciled. How do I change this preference?
Is there a way to note collection efforts on reports and to have those notes printed on the report? We leave notes on the customers accounts in the note section, but are needing a way to leave them on the report. I leave comments on the report, but those comments do not print when printing the report.
Quickbooks desktop won't let me delete the account because it says it has a balance or it is used in at least one transaction, in an item, or in your payroll setup. It has a huge balance and tons of transactions in it, about a years worth. Somehow the bank feed was going into both accounts and I just noticed it, and added all the transactions, then wished I hadn't. Is there a way to undo my "adding of all those transactions" all at once? Thanks for any help you can give!
Working on a cleanup project for a client. They set up a bank feed for a credit card (CC#1) and loaded FY2023 transactions for the entire year. Then they disconnected the feed and connected it to another credit card account (CC#2), again loading the entire year. So we're sitting on $122K of duplicated transactions. What I want to do is set CC#1 as inactive and delete all 2023 transactions. I've already done the due diligence of confirming everything in CC#1 is a duplicate from Jan 1 2023 forward. Is there a straightforward way to delete these 500+ transaction lines as a group, not one by one?
I am having an issue with spreadsheet sync and being able to sort a column a-z when editing records for the chart of accounts. 1. I am signed in to the spread sheet with my QBO account and have synced the data.2. I am able to change the information in the cells and sync it back to QBO. This is for editing chart of accounts. What I am needing to do is sort the chart of accounts by account number as I have several that need to be made into sub accounts and some modifications to account type. When I click the little gray triangle to bring up the dropbox and tell it to sort A-->Z I get a message stating "The cell or chart you're trying to change is on a protected sheet. To make a change, unprotect the sheet. You might be requested to enter a password." I have followed instructions on other forums by going to Review--> Unprotect sheet and it has a password box pop up. However, my QBO password will not unlock the sheet. I have tried my computer password, office 365 passw
