QuickBooks Q&A

I was getting error messages again and again.
I've noticed this bug for some time, and have never been able to understand it. When I edit an transaction, say a Transfer from account A to account B, by adding a memo or marking the account-B side as cleared, suddenly account A gets changed to another account, such as Retained Earnings. This is totally surprising and I believe is a buggy behavior. I think this happens most often with Transfer entries. Has anyone else encountered this issue?

Hello Quickbooks users! I am using QuickBooks Desktop for Mac. QUESTION:If I have two Inventory Part Items already set up, Let's call them:POSTER_SALES_RETAIL and POSTER_SALES_WHOLESALE When I created the POSTER_SALES_WHOLESALE inventory item, i added the QUANTITY on hand as 30. Which is the amount of posters I purchased to sell. Since I sell them at WHOLESALE and RETAIL, I need Quickbooks to pull from the total inventory of 30 every time I make a sale wholesale or retail. Right now, since I added the QUANTITY on hand of 30 to the POSTER_SALES_WHOLESALE inventory item, I cannot get Quickbooks to pull inventory from the POSTER_SALES_RETAIL inventory item. Is there a way to make this happen? Maybe with a new Sub Parent inventory item POSTER_SALES and have this one reflect both? What would the steps be to accomplish this? So far, I have only used the POSTER_SALES_WHOLESALE inventory item for some sales I made last year, but
When I try to update my Unemployment Rate and try to hit Save. It says "Enter a 8-digit valid Dept of Revenue Account Number" under the account number, which I am not changing at all. If I add and delete a number from the account number to remove this message, it then says the account number can't be changed. I hope Intuit see this will fix this bug.
I call and they say I can have my customer pay the invoice , yet its still getting declined. What is taking so long?

Can't find this link on the dashboard anymore to review failed / declined recurring customer payments.
An employee now wants to have no withholdings and become a contractor. How to change this ?
I have selected the correct phone number for the code to be sent to, but I have tried several times, refreshed the page, etc and still have not received any code.
I can't figure out how to map the state unemployment tax so that my payment shows up as an expense in the P&L. Quickbooks is taking the amount owed for each employee and when the payment is made to the state, that is put against what was owed for each employee and it doesn't show up as an expense. How do I map it correctly?
Hi, this has been a mini nightmare as I am self employed and have minimal time to deal with this. My last upload of transactions, the last three months, have some transactions as numbers, but not all. Online help was no help as they stated this was above their expertise. They booked me for a call back and no one called. I have done all of the troubleshooting, multiple times and without a live person who will call me back I don't know what else to do.
Being a business owner, I don’t have time to sit down and talk about QuickBooks and why it doesn’t work while I’m doing business. The only time I have to talk about it is a fucking Saturdays and you dumb motherfuckers aren’t open that is the biggest problem with this crappy stuff that I pay for.

I am thinking about purchasing a new laptop that uses Snapdragon X Elite as the processor and want to make sure it will work to run Quickbooks Online. Any known issues?
I've been with QBO for 2 months and have grown so many gray hairs over this issue. Can't accept client CC payments through QB invoices and everything also gets declined when I enter the details manually. Then, for fun, I tried my own card at $3,000, $1,500, $500 and everything was declined also. The invoice my client was trying to pay was $2,700. I escalated a ticket with QB 4-weeks ago and still have not heard back. This is after several calls to complain about this which were met with "We reserve the right to decline a credit card transaction with no explanation". It's clear this company couldn't care less about the little guy. I've had nothing but issues with handling payments and money through Green Dot. This is supposed to be easy. How can someone grow their small business if one of the biggest players in the game is not only preventing money through the door but doing nothing to help or fix it. I would hope for some de
I don't see many people talking about product prices in Quickbooks online and how they don't show up when I create a new purchase order. Does anyone know of a setting I can change where the MSRP price of a product I enter in a purchase order will show up? I am forced to open my product price list or enter the product in to an invoice in order to see the price.

<<Background>>I use a vendor to file government papers and pay some government fees for my clients. The vendor collects money from me, at the time I make the request, for the full amount of the government fees and their service charge. I also get a charge later for an unpredictable international fee. These come out through a bank draft.<<What I have been doing>> I have been paying all of this out of pocket, up front. I have been invoicing the client once I know what the full amount is to include the unpredictable international fee. <<What I want to do but don't know how>> I want to guard against the situation where the client decides not to pay after I have already given out the money. Therefore, I want to have the client pay me up front so I have enough money to cover the vendor's bill without dipping into my own money. I want to estimate what the full charges will be, including the unpredictable international fee, plus my own service charge, a
