I know there is an option to turn on a Privacy button which removes this but this seems to be able to be overridden by the standard user.
I paid an expense of £2,730 and then matched the transaction only to discover I had paid it already. The person paid the money back to my account, but then that has been recorded as income. It has resulted in there being £2,730 more in quickbooks in the bank and I don't know how to change it. If I delete the transaction coming in, it still shows the expense going out. How do I get them to match again?
On the dashboard I have a list of carnet payments that I cannot clear as I have already put the invoices through as paid before the transaction was cleared at the bank. How do I clear these off the transaction list?
I have recently filed 4 VAT returns and paid HMRC but the filed returns are showing as 'Reopened'. How can this be changed to 'Paid'
I have created a new company and the only transaction I have had before setting up QBO was a Paypal verification payment of £0.01. When I go into quickbooks, if I add the transaction, I then have an "In Quickbooks" balance of £0.02. Which I know is not much but its frustrating. I don't know where the extra penny is coming from... Any help would be great! I want to get this sorted out before we run much more through these books.
As a travel agent all our suppliers mainly are hotels, we have multiple sites for each chain of hotels as a result our supplier list is massive, is there a way to group them together? on the sales side you can set up a main account and then add sub accounts. We still need to be able to identify which hotels they relate to when reconciling credit cards.
I have had issues sending remittance advices this morning from both companies. It appears to send however we are not receiving them via email nor is it showing within the audit log. Anyone else having this issue today? RegardsLouise

Safari is not supporting payroll
Please can somebody help me. I seem to have created a monster issue!!! I need to undo a number of months bank reconcilation that had previously been done but was then corrected and created too many discrepancies for my client to sort. I followed instructions to undo month by month and did so back to the month where there were no errors. However, I am not sure what has happened, as I now have a massive beginning balance discrepancy and am still unable to reconcile. Looking at the error report, it is actually showing errors for entries that have been made after the month that I am now trying to reconcile. i.e. May statement - errors on error report are showing for May - Aug.I desperately need help in trying to sort this. If anybody has any solutions please. Many thanks
Hi, we are an Online Retailer and use QuickBooks in conjunction with a Multi-Channel Software Platform. We are currently using QuickBooks Pro 2012 Desktop UK Version on a PC running Windows 7 and post a daily Sales Journal from the Multi-Channel Software Platform to QuickBooks.Unfortunately, we have hit a major brick wall as the PC has decided to call it a day and has become extremely slow and has had better days. This has created a big problem for us, as inevitably it has forced us to update the PC and the current version of QuickBooks.Buying a new PC with Windows 11 is not an issue. The issue is that QuickBooks have decided to discontinue QuickBooks Desktop Version and that is the option we require as the Multi-Channel Software Platform can only post the daily Sales Journal to the Desktop Version and not the Online Version. The other issue I have is how I get the Company File (QuickBooks Pro 2012 Desktop UK Version) to be able to open in a newer version of QuickBooks. Is t
I 'm setting up a sole director salary via QBOs payroll and have indicated that they are a director and do not need a pension up. However it won't let me run the payroll without setting up a scheme with a provider that will not be used as the director just wants to pay themselves and not employ anyone else?
I have a Mobile Home Park with about 50 units, we invoice Tenants for Water usage after taking meter readings. Now I enter meter readings into an Excel spreadsheet, calculating usage, & then I use Microsoft Word's merge capability to create an invoice for each individual Tenant. Is there an app that I can use to do this that will sync with my quickbooks and also email invoices to Tenants?
If you have a list of customers and suppliers you’d like to import, you can do so by following the steps below. This saves you from manually creating your customer and supplier records one by one. Before you start, make sure that your excel spreadsheets are ready and in a format that is accepted by QuickBooks. You can download a sample here. Things to look out for before you start The file size limit is 2MB. We found that customers have the best experience when importing no more than 400 rows at one time. If there are more than 400 rows, we recommend that you split them into multiple lists and import them individually using the steps below. Sub-customers can't be imported. Import sub-customers as customers and change them to sub-customers after the import. If the file imported incorrectly and it needs to be re-imported, it does not overwrite customer/supplier records that have been created in QuickBooks, but it will be added to your customer/supplier list again.
I have a Holiday park with about 80 units on, we invoice for utilities (Gas, Electric, & Water) by taking meter readings and invoicing appropriatly At the moment this involves a big Excel spreadsheet and lots of double/triple entry of data for myself to first record the data, then calculate usage, & finaly invoice the individual customers is there an app at present that i can use to do this that will sync with my quickbooks?
I want to unfile a VAT Return but it's not yet showing as filed. How long does it take?
Some of my freelance jobs have been iR35 so I have no idea what to do with those when it comes to VAT. I shouldnt pay VAT on them but how does HMRC know they are IR35
