The instructions do NOT tell us how to set up Paid Time Off accrual, where the employee gets 1 hour of PTO for every 40 hours worked! Where do we tell it to accrue? There are no boxes for this on Online Payroll!!! The instruction seem only to pertain to giving all employees 40 hours right from the beginning and we certainly cannot afford to do that.
I do not have the option on my QBO to print archived payroll forms. Why?

I have correctly entered the S corp owners health insurance premiums (paid by the company) to his wages for the W-2. What should the other side of the entry be? Right now it's sitting in payroll liabilities. Thank you Tammy
Can not get the original w3 to print
My 1099's and 1096 were e-filed and the 1099's sent to subcontractors. How can I print a copy of 1096 for my files and for my CPA?
My client ran payroll through ADP and put the business checking account down instead of the personal account for her paycheck to be directly deposited. I'm showing in QB both transactions the money coming out to pay for the payroll and taxes and the deposit of her paycheck. What is the easiest way to correct this in her books?

How do you get to the tab to run payroll?
In the past, I'd enter nine-zeros for the SSN and then QuickBooks would automatically print "Applied For" on the W-2 in the SSN box. But now QuickBooks won't let me enter a nine-zero SSN. What are the new instructions so I can print and file a W-2 for an employee who has applied for an SSN but doesn't have it yet - so that QuickBooks will print "Applied For" on the W-2?

I have an employee that wants to do pretax health insurance deductions, does QuickBooks desktop allow for pretax health insurance deduction?
Setting up health insurance. For an employee the monthly health insurance premium is $342.98. The employer pays half and the employee pays half. When I put that into the employees payroll setup for deductions and contributions, which is correct? A. Deduction $342.98 (Total Premium) Contribution (employer Part) $171.49 B. I was on the phone with tech support last week because my PAP Bundle with Enhanced Payroll for Accts (50 EINs included) is getting ready to renew. All of my clients have moved to online and I no longer need this subscription. The rep encouraged me not to get rid of it because it is grandfathered in with the 50 EINs and still only costs $545/year to renew. He said I can transfer the license to someone else who might be interested in it, perhaps someone who does payroll processing services. I would like to sell it. Is there anyone interested in this? I hope it can be an asset to someone else.
using quickbooks online , payroll core, i file and pay taxes through quickbooks.The option to file w-2 does not appear under filings in the payroll center or anywhere else that i can find.i found the w-2's to review and print under resources in payroll center. Where is the missing option?

Starting on January 1, my state is requiring paid leave for employees. My pay period was 12/31/23 to 1/13/24 so there was 1 day that leave was to not be accrued. I entered my payroll like usual then manually adjusted the sick hours available for each employee. When I printed the paychecks and paystubs, it has the original sick time that was calculated during the payroll process. The adjustment I made was completely ignored. I did a verify, rebuild and tried to fix with Quickbooks file doctor. I know everything is correct in my setup. Any suggestions on why it's not printing the adjusted time?

I see the new rate and choose it from the drop down, add effective date of 1-1-24 and hit save and it wont save the rate, it defaults back to the prior rate
The name of a chosen payroll withholding is incorrect on an already issued paycheck. Can the paycheck be edited to reflect correctly on the employees W2? I do not want to delete the Payroll list item as it is used for other employees.
