Today is August 28, 2024 and for the 2nd day my Tasks and Approval function are not available. Yesterday at end of day it re-appeared and this morning when I signed in it was gone again. What is going on? Vivian
I can't find this answer today... After September 30, if I need to expand and hire a new bookkeeper, can I add another seat to my existing subscription? I'm not sure how that works. I'm a small office CPA with a number of small clients on QB Desktop. Others give us records to do writeup for them and we use Desktop for that. Obviously, it would not make economic sense to switch to Online when I can use a desktop a subscription for all my client needs.I deleted a longer rant but, I was hoping QB would raise prices and keep the best accounting product on the market.
So the boss did some importing of stuff and mostly everything made it in, but he had issues...and in double checking several items have incorrect pricing. So since all the sku's are already in QBO, he provided me a new csv of just part#'s and prices, JUST to correct the pricing... i've ensure it's 999 items (to keep it under the 1000 line max for importing.. Yesterday when i tried to directly import it, it gave errors and wouldn't import stuff...i then realized i had inventory as a type but hadn't set up the sales account for it, so since they were all ALREADY previously in QBO i removed the type inventory and literally just left the part# and the price, and mapped it accordingly...but it simply will not go...it just says spinning and spinning... no errors no nothing...and i've let it sit and sit and sit, and it never seems to stop, short of QBO automatically timing out and logging me out... but the import seems to not be successful, or at least i get to messages EITHER WAY

I just upgraded to QuickBooks Online Advanced. I'm trying to use the Invoice Import feature, but I keep receiving the below.I'm testing my first file, and I get this error in every situation. I will not have invoice numbers on my imports and I will have multiple line items per customer. What is strange is that I get this error even if the .csv file only has one line item. I have tried with a single line and with multiple lines, I've tried with "Custom transaction numbers" turned off and on as instructed in this Importing invoices in bulk How-To article. Can anyone tell what I'm doing wrong? Here's what my .csv file looks like (customer name changed for privacy).Thanks for your help!
Has anyone else noticed that just out of the blue, the Review/Send Invoice function no longer attaches the customer's invoice as a .pdf in the email? Why do they just keep changing stuff for no reason? How much time I've wasted just trying to figure out how to do something that worked just fine before QB decided to "improve" it.
QBO is also not allowing existing products to be edited in any way. I cannot make any name changes or anything like that. It also isn't allowing new Products to be added via using the "Duplicate" button. In both cases, when you click on "Save and Close" nothing happens. This is a brand new issue that I believe might be related to the latest update. Both my app and the online version have the same issue. I have also encountered other issues with the Products and Services section today but these are my most pressing issues as I am trying to do invoicing right now. I tried the Help button and requested to speak with a human and was told that their customer service is not available at the moment. So I'm reaching out the only other way I know how. Has anyone else encountered this issue? And did you find a way around it? Is it possible to undo the latest QBO update to see if that fixes the issue?
Hi,I'm looking for advice on the best way to transfer AR aging from QuickBooks Desktop (QBD) to QuickBooks Online (QBO).Here's what I've done so far:I've imported QBO data from 2022 to the present.For 2022 and 2023, I created AR balances for each month using general journal entries, which I reversed at the start of the following month.Now, for 2024, I want to transfer an aging report as of July 31st, which includes invoices dating back to 2022. My initial idea was to create these invoices in QBO to match the aging report from QBD, having both the credit and debit impact AR so that previous balances from prior years remain unchanged. However, I've realized that QBO doesn't allow booking an invoice to AR on both sides.What’s the best way to bring in the AR aging without affecting prior periods?
Recently my customers have received a popup survey immediately after paying their invoice online. It asks a series of questions, such as “do you know anyone that could use company abc’s services.” And goes on to as name and phone number of the referral. I noticed it said Powered by Qualtrics. I dug deeper and saw Qualtrics and Quickbooks appear to have a relationship. I want to know why this is being done without our knowledge, where that data is going and how to turn it off. This seems like a privacy violation. QB experts, what is this? Not one person i have spoken with has any knowledge of Qualtrics. @LadyRoxann
I have the following issues about Tags.I don't see "run report" in Action column in tags list When I choose a tag to filter, it shows "No transactions found" even if all transactions already has tags. All tags are grouped.I don't see "tag" in the filter when I run reports such as profit and loss.
I have been using QuickBooks desktop for Mac for over 10 years, currently I am using the 2020 version which is no longer supported. From what I could tell it will cost many hundreds of dollars per year to continue using the desktop version.From what I’ve been told in the past, if I switch to QuickBooks online there is no way to import my attachment library. I’m wondering if that has changed and if QuickBooks can now import the attachment library from the desktop version into QuickBooks online? I have thousands of receipts and invoices attached to transactions over the last decade, if I get audited I need access to all of this.
- A PO is created from a Vendor.- To receive items from this PO, go to Receive Inventory with Bill > Select the Vendor > Open Existing PO > Select the PO > Input information in Bill and save.- By doing the earlier 2 steps, this PO should no longer be Open, and closed out. Issue: We have a PO that has already been received, but it is still open. How do we get rid of it?Error: Under Memo in the Bill, we do see "VOID:" Maybe this bill was accidently voided? If that is the case, how we can un-void this? - We did a quick report on the item that is in the PO, we only show that one PO number. In there, we also see a bill for that PO, which shows the item being received and Paid for. We also show an invoice to a customer for the item that is in this PO. - Under Inventory for this item, it shows 0 for Total Quantity on Hand, 0 on SO, 1 on PO
Hello, I own two companies (LLC) with separate books. Most of the time I have to use the employees from company A to help company B. Basically, subcontracting each other. I want company B to start paying back company A for this labor. How do I record this payment to company A? I was thinking on invoicing the other company but then it will show as revenue and I'm not sure if it is really a revenue for company A. Please help. P.S. I already have my due/to liability accounts for shared expenses and inter-company loans.
QBES ....Because our chart of accounts is far too complex and poorly organized, we have concluded that it would be easier to create a new QB Company, create a chart of accounts that conforms to the standard format, and begin to use Classes for income and expense categorization. We will be creating the Chart of Accounts and using this structure for creating the 2025 budgeting. . When we begin using the "new" company in January, we will have the "old" company files available for reference and in case we need information from inactive customers or vendors who may wish to reactivate, and for doing 1099 reporting by the end of January. I am updating our website(s) and looking for some information to put on our accepted payments page. I am trying to figure out what shows up on my customers bank or credit card statement for their transaction. Like does it show Intuit* Business Name or what? I know that Square shows up on their bank records as SQ* Business Name. I am using Quickbooks Premier 2020 Desktop version and my invoice are sent using Outlook and it includes a pay link that they use. I just want to know what shows on their bank statement when the charge shows up.Thanks in advance.
