I setup my QuickBooks on my iPhone and started with a Solopreneur account billed through Apple. I now want to upgrade to Simple Start but I am having trouble doing so. I looked through the forums and found some suggestions. I tried canceling my Apple subscription so that I could start a direct subscription, but the only option I have is to restart my Apple subscription. I have been trying to contact someone for several days and I can't seem to get to a person. Please help!

On 2/14 Intuit made an adjustment to our payroll and created a check paid to “QuickBooks Payroll Service” for FUTA correction connected the previous year. The money was taken from the company account, so we were thinking that the subject had been completed. But just a few days later we received a letter from IRS standing that we owed:the amount that Intuit just took from our account+ "failure-to-pay penalty"+ "interest charges"My questions are:Who pays the amount to IRS? Since the money was already taken from our account by Intuit I would think Intuit had to transfer this money, right? Now, who pays the penalty and interest fees? We are on automatic payroll mode, so I assume it is Intuit who is responsible for all payments to be done on time, correct?Less important but also to resolve: my payroll report is off by the amount of the adjustment made by Intuit. It has been posted as a check but what should I do to make my report correct?
I had a Payment to Deposit window pop up for $1.00 when I went to Record Deposits. I researched the payment that needed deposited, and it was from an entry into the Undeposited Funds account in 2022. The payment had subsequently been deposited in 2022, and still shows in the Undeposited Funds account as being deposited. The account balance of the Undeposited Funds account shows $0.00. The checkmark is missing in the checkmark column next to the $1.00 entry from 2022. I have no idea why the checkmark is missing, or why this popped up as a Payment to Deposit, but I need to get rid of it because the window pops up with every deposit I make. Does anyone know how this happened and how to get rid of it?
Hi folks -- very basic question but how do I record services that I invoice versus payments for those invoices? right now both are being recorded as consulting income and that doesn't seem right as it doubles this account. Thanks! So when I get my bank entries and categorize payments, I was doing those as consulting income but that doesn't look right as such is the same category as services which are on the invoices. Thanks!
I am starting to charge a customer a 2% late fee on unpaid invoices that go past the net 30. However, I cannot add the 2% fee to the late invoice and resubmit it as this will cause even further delays by submitting the same invoice twice; or they would likely just pay both the original then pay it again with the late fee . I need to add the 2% late charge to the next monthly invoice. Is there a way to do this automatically or do I have to do it manually each time for each invoice? this would take a lot of time. Thanks for you answers!
QBO withdrew $700 from my bank, indicating it was for state unemployment taxesIssue 1 - the amount is 5x what it normally is and what was actually owed based on the state calculationIssue 2 - the state never received this money (I called and they confirmed, and the website also does not show this payment)A month later I manually paid the $120 owed for state income taxI called QB for a refund, but they insist they paid the state so they will not refund the moneyWe confirmed my company information is entered correctly (no recent changes and no issue w/ other state or federal automated payments)QB said if the state issues an unpaid notice then they can take further action. The state WONT issue an unpaid notice, because nothing has been unpaid, I made the actual necessary payment once it was clear QB had not sent my money. So, how do I get my refund?Every time I call in I provide the ticket number yet the agent seems confused and starts troubleshooting the situation from scratc
Check was written last fiscal year and still listed as outstanding. How do we void and reissue the check keeping in mind the timing difference. Can we void a check and mark the void as today?
Hi, I'm reconciling PayPal and the Ref numbers on the screen are actually coming through as the QB Sale Receipt number. This is making it impossible to reconcile the account as I need to utilize the PayPal transaction I.D. Which is showing correctly in the reference field on the sales receipt. However on the reconciliation screen its showing the reference number as the QB Sales receipt no. Any ideas on how to get the Reference Number to correctly appear on the reconciliation screen? Thanks , Bel

Hi! I’m looking for guidance on the best way to pay a non-U.S. contractor through QuickBooks. We have remote workers based in Ghana, Egypt and Philippines, and we understand that QuickBooks Payroll does not support payments to international contractors. From what I’ve gathered from different community forums:- Add the contractor as a vendor or Contractor in QuickBooks.- Use a third-party payment service (such as Melio, Veem or Wise) for international payments.- Enable the multicurrency feature to manage transactions in different currencies- Obtain a completed Form W-8BEN from the contractor for compliance. Can you confirm if this is the best approach? Additionally, do you know any integrated third-party payment services that handle both currency conversion and year-end reporting for non-U.S. contractors?Looking forward to your guidance.
We are a non-profit and don't need Jobs as they are configured to Customers in Premier Plus 2024, which is more like a construction company. We need to track issue areas across the G/L and Classes for finance and grant reporting, especially P&L by issue area. Does anyone know if Jobs can be untethered from Customers? Or can we create a special field? Tried the memo field but that doesn't work for what we need. TIA for any help!!!
We use QB Enterprise Solutions 24.0 for desktop. We have 15 entities and we do not bill/invoice anyone. We enter brokerage statements, maintain multiple checking accounts, have a small payroll and large A/P. Our owner wants to see a consolidated P&L, Balance Sheet, Budgets vs Actual, Cash Flow and Forecasting for multiple entities together. I've gone through the QB Store looking for 3rd party applications, however, the search is overwhelming. Do any of you have any recommendations of an application that can consolidate multiple entities to do this? I've created budgets based on prior year financials in each entity, exported them into excel then manually combined them but you can imagine when you don't have the same chart of accounts between them because they don't all need the same accounts, then you're trying to manually combine them, fix the excel formulas, etc. it takes hours and my boss doesn't understand why I can't do this on a monthly basis in a day. &nbs
Has anyone tried the new enterprise suite? It seems interesting but not sure if worth upgrading. What does it give you that is not in Advanced and how well does it work? Thanks!
QuickBooks has recently implemented a change to the "Projects" feature which has caused substantial billing issues with some of our clients. A "Client" or "Customer" can have multiple email addresses listed, CC, and BCC fields. When you create an invoice associated with a Client, the invoice automatically inherits the email, CC, and BCC fields. Recently, changes to "Project" definition now only allows a single email address. The "Email" field in the Project definition now prevents the use of comma and space, which prevents users from inputting multiple email addresses. The field format control was likely implemented to cut down on improperly formatted email addresses and bounced email invoices, but it has had the side effect of eliminating an important functionality of Projects. Each Project for a Client might have different billing instructions, so it is convenient to set up all the recipients of the billing for each project at the time the pro
We filed our 2024 1099NEC in January electronically via QBO.We have 2 contractors with misspelled names and I need to file a corrected 1099 for them.Per the 2024-25 update: Per IRS regulations, you must file corrections the same way the original forms were filed. If you e-filed your original form, you must e-file your corrected form.We waited the 2+ weeks for corrections to be enabled. It has been active now for over a week... But at this time you get another flag saying that changing contractor Name or EIN is not available and is being worked on.We have angry contractors trying to do their taxes and cannot finish as they are waiting on our corrected documents...Any ideas? Help? Do we just mail in the changes and hope they are accepted/updated?

Then I was told I need to update to QuickBooks pro 2024. I currently have QuickBooks pro 2023, desktop. They scheduled a time for someone to call me back to deal with situation. Is the call legitimate or a fraud? Catsblocks
We use QuickBooks Desktop Pro 2017. We have two notes under a customer and both are pinned. I cannot get either note to unpin. It happened when another user went to pin the new note, which usually unpins the first, but this time it didn't. I've tried creating a new note, thinking it might pin and unpin the other two and that didn't work. How can I unpin the undesired note? Thank you for the help.
Hello! I am having a problem that has gone on for far too long and I need help t fix. We have multiple people access two different stores we have setup. So when I go to log in every morning it always says someone is in single user mode please ask them to switch to multi. The problem here is that the chances of me locating who that is and them being at their desk is slim to none. So then I am stuck waiting and calling their phone over and over and I can't do anything until they return. Everytime when they answer they say that they just recently switched and it was in multi and everytime it has switched back to single user mode. Is there anyway to keep multi user mode as a default and only way to go to single user would be to go to file. Thanks in advance to whomever can get me my time back at work. THANK YOU
How do I add a pinned note to a customer? How do I edit an existing note on a customer?
Can you create other statuses other than the (3) listed? Thx!
