How do I add another field to my invoices?
Is there a way to do a mass bulk journal entry to move unspecified transactions on the P&L by class report to a particular class in QBO? We have transactions that should be assigned to two classes and then we have the unspecified transaction column. Instead of going transaction by transaction for each entry from January to August 2024, is there a way to assign class to these unspecified transactions?
The Insurance company paid for a vehicle that was totaled. It was paid in full already, so no payoff balance. the check was entered in as a credit to the ins company. So now the ins. company has a credit on their account. Which they should not have...how do I correct this in QB online?
I'm trying to manually import the Webconnect file (.qbo) I downloaded for my Target RedCard (TD Bank USA) but when I go to Banking > Bank Feeds > Import Web Connect File and select the .qbo file, I get an error message "QuickBooks is unable to verify the Financial Institution information for this download.". Help?
How can I apply for a 94x online signature for electronic filing using QuickBooks Pro Plus 2024? I don’t have the same menu as QuickBooks Accountant.
I have a client that transferred money from his personal account to his business account for 2 vehicle purchases. He purchased these in cash. One is used for work and personal, the other strictly work. He wants to separate his personal taxes from the business. How should we categorize these purchases? Would the company keep the depreciation schedule if he registered both trucks in his personal name? Or is it best to file together to connect the transactions?
My boss's own a few businesses and they have separate bank accounts for each business. Boss A has some of his personal money held in account A and Boss B has some of his personal money held in account B.I am trying to do the following transaction: Take 5k from account A (boss A is contributing) and move it to account B. Then move the 5k +another 5k from account B (Boss B is contributing). Total of 10k is being moved to account c as a partner contribution from both partners to company C. How do i record each of these transactions?Out from A. Into B. Out from B. Into C. Is it an expense or income at any point?
We have 22 Custom Reports that are Scheduled to run Daily. These reports are supposed to be emailed each day, but over the past few weeks *most* reports are not emailed at all. This issue has been a problem for years. It has gotten worse the past few weeks. Sometimes all 22 reports are emailed as Scheduled, but often some are missing.Are other people having this same problem? Is there a workaround? Our business depends on these daily reports running successfully. Each day the reports are NOT emailed as scheduled, an employee is required to download each report manually. I appreciate any guidance that the QB Community can offer.Thank you
Hi! I need to produce a sales report per USA state. I saw a few FAQ instructing to go to Report / Sales by Customer and customize the report by adding the State field. I have done this, however, I don't see the state field or any address field. I am using QB Online. Any advice? Thank you.
Team, We have 3 accounts with QB over the last 20+ years. I believe I've got them all consolidated now into one for our products but never want todo delete the others to reduce confusion, because I'm not permitted. I'm just the IT not the QB genius but the accounts are in my name because the front office can barely login to gmail. So I get a notice that my credit card will not permit a renewal for our business and it states: Affected Products or services: Intuit QuickBooks Payroll Annual My office manager confirms this is for her payroll tax tables, blah blah blah. Great, when I login I don't see the product listed but I see something similar. Hi, Is there a way to see monthly balance sheet report. So the same as the PnL report by month but for the balance sheet. I don't see an option in the reports section. I have used quickbooks desktop version and it's pretty easy to do that in it. I know it does not make sense to do a monthly balance sheet report but I want to use it a for a sepecific purpose. I can't get Quickbooks to pull in four months worth of data from my bank account. It has the first four months of the year and the last four, but it's missing April - September. What can I do to make it import this data?
I currently have two "companies" under my intuit account that are technically the same company. I originally joined for payroll/workman's comp, and shortly thereafter added the accounting too. Someone at QB messes up and made the accounting side separate from the payroll and they only kind of talk to each other. Has anyone else had to deal with this? I'm told that I will have to start a whole new "company" and transfer everything over. I will take any advice i can from you if you have ever had to deal with this. Thanks in advance.

My typical business is computer support/repair, and I basically sell my time at certain hourly rates. But I've started a webinar series, where I sell tickets to a zoom call, and then present it. So I might have 60 tickets sold for an event, and do a similar one again in 2 weeks. Ideally I would create a 'sale' entry every 2 weeks with the revenue from those 60 tickets as the income. But i can't really figure out where to even start. I've looked around online and I see how QB suggests accounting for charity raffle ticket sales, and bulk ticket sales, but when I follow along it doesn't make much sense. Any suggestion on this process? Thanks -
No doubt all of us get scam calls all the time. But after switching back to QB just over a month ago, I already have Indian scammers spamming my landline with calls to "update my payment information". I don't think there's any way they could have got that information from something I have done. This causes me to wonder; is QB or one or more of its third party partners selling our info? I think that I ought not to have to deal with scammers from ****thole countries as a consequence of doing business with parties who are apparently monetizing my information and laundering it to P a jeet*stan. and my follow-up email to the agent who ignored the appointment. We currently use desktop pro plus, whatever that means (id think its a thing anymore?) and I'm looking into upgrade options to Premier or possibly Enterprise. I had an appointment yesterday with sales support, I was getting email and text reminders prior and thought I was emailing the agent, who in hindsight was only sending form emails. Angel never called as promised. I'm just curious if QB is doing such great business that they don't even need to sell more?
I am very, very frustrated with QuickBooks. I have been trying to downgrade from QuickBooks Plus to Simple Start, but I keep getting this message: "You have the 'multicurrency' feature turned on in your current QuickBooks Plus SUBSCRIBED plan. This feature can't be turned off, and is not supported in the QuickBooks Simple Start plan." Nowhere was I warned that enabling multicurrency -which I don't use- would permanently lock me into an expensive plan. This is deceptive and completely unfair to customers who want to scale down their subscriptions. Even worse than that I spent hours on the phone with QuickBooks customer service, and the experience was infuriating. The agent I spoke to had no idea what the multicurrency feature was and was intentionally keeping me on hold instead of connecting me to a supervisor. She refused to help and wasted my time. I am trying to add a custom field (PO #) to my invoices. I watched the video help, but when I enter the custom field name, I get the error "Name should not exceed characters" . Seems like the error should state how many characters, but it doesn't. No matter how many characters I add, I get the error upon saving". I tried to find a customer support page where I can message Quickbooks Tech Support, but I keep getting linked back to the "Assistant".
I did not receive the update for the year 2021 on the 941 Sch B although all of my other forms have been updated?
We have 4 US Bank credit cards and they all show up separately in QB. Which is fine. But I am needing all charges to show under one parent account in order to reconcile (like the Cap One & BofA - I did not set those up, so I am not sure how it was done & I can not see what is the difference between them to know what I am doing wrong). I followed the instructions on setting up a sub account... I went to the chart of accounts, I clicked on Edit in the View register drop down, but there was no "Is Sub Account" to tick anywhere. When I went to BofA or Cap One, I did not see a "Is Sub Account" that was toggled either. So I am not sure where it is to make the sub accounts in order to have all transactions rolled into one parent account for reconciliation. What am I missing? TIA
I've attached a screen shot of the "Map vendor payment accounts" and in all honesty, I think this method is one of the dumbest things I've seen from Intuit. But in this perhaps I am missing a simple solution ....Note the circle drawn around the "Account" number. This shows ** Numbers that are NOT in numerical sequence. This makes for an error prone way of trying to assign 1099 flags ** ALL of the numbers shown here have been INACTIVATED because I have restructured the GL COA to simplify processes and implement Class Tracking. In my mind, INACTIVE numbers should no longer appear in this list. Am I simply missing the way to reorganize this listing into numerical sequence? If so, how? I get that once assigned, changes mid-year aren't a good idea. However, once 1099's have been filed for a year, then changing the 1099 flag assignments shouldn't present a problem. In our case, whoever originally assigned these flags must have had a fair amount of drink before starting or
