QuickBooks Q&A

A1-T appeared last year, as a means for Arizona to get state copies of the W2. Quickbooks desktop does not offer an electronic filing option for the A1-T. Arizona's instructions on the A1-T say that electronically filed A1-Rs (reconciliation of deposits with quarterly reports) "automatically" include the A1-T and the W2 copies. I don't think that's happening on Desktop payroll. A client of mine using Online says A1 included in Online's A1-R, but that Arizona is rejecting Online's electronic file. Last January I printed a set of W2s. stuck an A1-T (available on Desktop tax forms) on top of it, and snail-mailed it. Arizona accepted those (and there were a lot of them) just fine. I asked a tech who didn't have a clue and who promised to ask and send me an email response... does the Desktop A1-R include the A1-T and the W2s? The email answer I got was not helpful, or even relevant. I needed a programmer to
HELP
I don't use QB online because I have enough issues with Quickbooks without putting all of my info on a cloud. I am using Enterprise 24.0 and I am never able to use my search bar because it is always updating but when you see the last update was done 2 weeks ago. Also, once a week I have to shut the whole program down bc black bars pop up on all the fields that I can fill in, checks, purchase orders, receipts, every page I navigate to. I have been dealing with this for years and no one can seem to help me make this stop. QB customer service is never helpful and it is very time consuming just talking to them. Can anyone here help?
We have a customer who paid on a sales receipt and their check bounced. They have paid us now via credit card and added the fee for the bounced check. All of the information I have found pertains to how to do this in QB Online, not QB Desktop Enterprise. How do I get this recorded properly without double billing it? QB support was of no help here and questioned why was it a sales receipt
The new invoice design seems to be more limited with design customization . I just want to get it close to the design of my old invoices. I use QB Simple Start.

Is there a way to recreate 941 forms from previous years?
HiIve just joined quickbooks, moving over from Wave.I dont like sending my invoices through quickbooks, i prefer to save them as pdfs and send them to my clients myself via email, i feel it has a bit more of a personal feel to it.However, when i save an invoice as a pdf the file name is a really long jumbled up mixture of letters and numbers, however i did a test sending an invoice through quickbooks and the pdf that is attached to the email quickbooks send has a nice file name that has the invoice number in it etc.Is there a way of creating an invoice, not sending it, but downloading/saving it with a file name that makes sense?I know i could re-name the file but when youre doing alot of invoicing that isnt really something i want to be doing! Many thanks in advance
Corporate sends credit memo for item sales. Not tracking item sales. Check/direct deposit received following month from corporate.
Hi.I cancelled my Quickbooks online subscription slightly over 1 year ago, but I need access to the W9 docs that were in there for my contractors. If I enroll again, will the W9 docs still be there?
I want to add another field to my payment receipts for the project address. The "Bill to" customer address is not the same as the project address. Customizing payment receipts is very limited to what we can do. Any suggestions?
Hello dear community members, Does any one know how to add Box 12 employer sponsored health insurance amount to employees' W2 forms? I contacted on January 3, 2024 Quickbooks payroll service and they kept telling me that it can not be done. Any solution? The feature of automated tax and form is turned on currently. Thanks for any input?
I no longer need Quickbooks On-line. I would like to go back to my 2019 version of Quickbooks. But, it still has my bank balances from 2022. How do I start inputting info for 2024?

Hello, from 1984 to 2024, the company has been a Sole Prop... As of Jan 1st 2025, it is now a S Corp. Considering we just filed our eFile 1099s for 2024 (still under the sole prop)... when would be a good time to change the company info to the S Corp it is now? We are nervous that since we just did the eFile and we change the company info today... that it could mess with the eFile and essentially file it under the new S Corp which would cause issues. Thanks in advance
In the old QBO, I was able to add blank lines in between different service items as a way to separate the sections of work we completed. If I import transactions into the invoice try to rearrange them and add blank lines, it looks fine on the screen but when I print it, the imported transactions always rise to the top of the invoice and they won't show the empty lines. In addition, I use the top line of the invoice to put a note about the work that was done and dates of service. That line gets pushed to the bottom of the invoice below imported transactions. The only fix is to delete the imported transaction and manually add it back in. Then there isn't an issue. I have submitted several cases about this and just received a final note that I have to use the modernized invoice template in order to customize my invoice, because if I am using a custom form style it won't work. So fine, I switch the default to modernized. But it's a
I made an estimated tax payment in my QBs account. How do I see which bank the ach will be debited from?
We have just discovered that no employee has received a paystub notification since 12/30/24.They should have received one on Jan 6th and again on Jan 13th.I've checked a few randomly and the Email Notifications is turned on in their profile. The email is not going to spam/trash. Their emails are correct and they did receive the W-2 notification that went out separately. I know there is no setting in the Quickbooks Admin console for turning this on or off, so it must be a Quickbooks issue. I've tried contacting support but they are closed at the moment. I've sent feedback and am posting here for further notification.
Revolut recently migrated to a new bank provider. As of that time, the integrations connect, then drop a day or so after and request reconnection. This is incredibly annoying.
Hello,I was wondering if Intuit is collaborating with CPAs or potentially competing with them. Some of my accounting clients have noticed the 'Live Bookkeeping' icon on their accounts, which is provided by Intuit, and it has sparked some curiosity. Could you provide some clarification on this?
I'm trying to figure out how to categorize a credit card payment in my quick books. In December 2024 I mistakenly paid my personal credit card bill using my business bank account. I realized afterwards so I then transferred the exact same amount from my personal account into my business account to balance the charge. However now I don't know how to categorize each transaction. If put it as an uncategorized expense and then income, it balances but doesn't seem right to me. Especially as my end of year profit/loss report shows more expenses and income than is really the case. Thanks in advance.
