Hello,How can I remove line items from our collections report that already have a zero balance due to a previous general journal entry clearing the amount? This is for QuickBooks Desktop. Please see attached image for reference.
The printer I was using for QBs is no more and I need to set up a new one but when I click on PRINTER SETUP in the FILE menu it doesn't do anything. Can anyone help me get a new printer option set up?
We are setup as semi-monthly for state withholding (WI), but starting in 2025 we are no longer prompted to make a $0 payment when there is no payroll during the period. This was always done in the past, so it just started this year. I'm also not able to record the $0 payment manually because it will not let me enter a zero-dollar amount.
We've just added a credit card account to our bank transactions section but it only imported transactions after 1 Jan 2025. How do we load previous transactions?

Hello, My name is Logan and I use Quickbooks Desktop. I was wondering how to set up an employee Roth contribution for SIMPLE IRAs. I know that the SECURE 2.0 Act started allowing employee roth contributions to SIMPLE IRA's in 2023. However, when I go into to set up a new payroll items for Roth contributions for our SIMPLE IRA, I don't see an option. All my contributions are currently set up pre-tax (as that is the only option available). - Is there a way to set up Roth contributions for SIMPLE IRA's?- If not, is there an update coming soon that will allow this? Thank you,
Is it possible to create subprojects under existing projects in QuickBooks Online Advanced, either using QuickBooks functionality or a 3rd party app? If not, how are other QBO Advanced customers dealing with this limitation? Is there another version of QuickBooks that allows this functionality?
One of our vendors will often send us purchase in separate deliveries. Then, they will invoice us once, essentially tying two item receipts to one invoice. Our workaround, since I do not see any real way to solve this, was to delete one item receipt and receive the items on the other item receipt, therefore merging the item receipts. The problem is, and you can see it in the attached image, that the item receipt window will forget that re-received item is tied to a PO, and the PO window will show the item still not received, though you can clearly see it is on the Item Receipt. Is there a fix for this or a better way to go about it? Thanks
Hi guys! In our business, we operate using an up front deposit system. My customers either pay a 30% deposit or a 50% deposit as soon as their order is received. What is the easiest way to send an invoice that shows all details, but only requests a 30 or 50% deposit at this time? I know there is a "discount" option, but I just had a customer pay directly through quickbooks... can I delete that discount to resesnd for the remaing balance due..... the invoice now says "paid in full" because I applied a discount. Thanks in advance for your help!
How do I get rid of passwords for quickbooks desktop
I looked up something from ?HELP, and wanted to print it.
We have two item receipts for the same line item on the purchase order. How do I combine those two item receipts into one bill.
Heres my situation: I buy products from Vendor B and they ship direct to us, however we do not get billed from them. Anything we buy from Vendor B is billed through Vendor A. We have alot of bills form Vendor A so when I want to find a bill from Vendor B I have to search all through the bills from Vendor A and I dont have an easy way to search or find it because Vendor B doesnt exist in quickbooks. I see there is no way to add a sub vendor so I was wondering if there is another trick or way I can add vendor B somehow when I enter bills for Vendor A so I can find them.
Hello, so i've got a new bookkeeper, and she ran through biweekly payroll, only realizing after checks were generated and tax payments processed, that one employee was missing a whole weeks worth of hours. After entering in the missing data, i'm at a loss as to how to issue a check for only the missing hours. running through as usual, it wants to include the hours he's already been paid for. if it were the first of two weeks that were missing, i could simply change the "through" date to eliminate the hours already paid from the second week. unfortunately, it's the second week that he's owed for. Ideas?
I don't want anyone to accept online. I want them to contact me directly. I don't want pretty much ANY part of the automated stuff that keeps happening here. It's driving me crazy (I've already had trouble with the stupid system reverting back to offering credit card payments that I don't accept). How can I remove that accept button so no one thinks they have accepted a bid, but I never hear about it? Thank you
How can I continue to get paid online?
Note: accrual basis company. A client has 60 day net terms and offers an early payment program, where the discount is variable based on market rates and days paid early (DPE). This means the discount isn't known until funds are pulled. To apply this discount, historically we've used the % / $ discount line item directly on the invoice. And the majority of the time, funds are pulled before the month-end close in which the invoice was issued, so the effects on the Income Statement aren't relevant/noticeable. However there can be an instance where an invoice is left longer, i.e. to reduce the DPEs/discount taken, and as such, going back and using that discount feature on an invoice in a month that's been closed will impact the reporting, since the revenue is based on when the invoice was issued. In short, it would decrease the revenue of the closed month. So since the discount feature will directly impact the income of the month in which the invoice is issued, would a
I just upgraded our QuickBooks. When I went in to add a user, I discovered there is an email address listed as the primary administrator (is not with our company), and I have no idea where it came from. I cannot delete this because the only option it gives is "View User Activity". This email is also listed as a billable user.
