I'm not sure if this is a result of OAuth and the changes to online banking, but I've been unable to see any transactions from my Cadence connection. I've tried deleting and re-connecting the account multiple times, but it doesn't even pull in the data now.

I backed up my company because I wanted to re-categorize about 1000 bank transfers as either 'Sales' or 'Refunds' and also delete about 3000 sales receipts to make my books more accurate. So I unlinked the transactions from my checking account and re-categorized them, essentially re-importing them but assigning them to either sales or refunds. But it got messy, so I decided to revert to an older state before I made those changes. But when I restored to a week before making the changes, the checking register in the restored version had kept all the re-categorized transactions, which made my checking register off by about $1.5M, and my reconciled checking account was no longer reconciled. It's a total mess! My understanding of a restore is that it will return the books to the way the were at that time, but that is not what happened. What am I missing? Please help!
Hi All - first post here and new to the trade.As part of a 12 month catch-up, I am trying to do a reconciliation for Jan 2023, and the beginning balance is off. A check from 2021 was deleted in 2023. Customer has no idea what check was for or how that happened, seems previous bookkeeper did it. What type of adjustment can I make so that I can move on with the reconciliation? TIA P.S. if there is another post that discussed this you can just send me the link.

How do I run a report to list deposits from a prior month?
QB Desktop for Mac 2024Somehow I got two connections set up for American Express. If I disconnect and try to reconnect, it tells me all of my accounts are already set up for online. I go to download the Amex transactions, and a connection window pops up:If I close the window, there is a window in quickbooks that says I can review my connections, and if I click that, a window opens up: I don't know why the American Express (Deligate) is there, I use QBDT to connect. Does anyone know how to get rid of it? TIA
Why would my payments go into my sales account? I let QB Online match the invoice but it record them as a sale which then exaggerates my sales numbers.

In Quickbooks desktop, I take a down payments from my customer based on their estimate and record as a credit to their account until I invoice them. Once I create their invoice, I apply their credit (the down payment) to the invoice, then receive their balance due and record the deposit. Why doesn't the original down payment show in my quickbooks check register? What am i missing?
I just started using QBO for invoice payments. I'm wondering how this will appear on my bank statement and whether the transactions will be reconciled automatically in QBO.For example, if I send out five different invoices and receive five different payments, will there be five deposits in my bank account?Using that same example, when I reconcile my bank account at the end of the month, since QBO handled receiving the payments and marking my invoices paid, will QBO also mark the payment as reconciled?Thanks!
I reviewed the sales receipts for the clients but there are no corresponding deposits for this client. They are billed monthly on a credit card and QB never paid me for it.
What do I have to do to use my existing checking account to pay my contractor and not add a new one? This is simply to record the transaction in Quickbooks.
My QBO hasn't connected to our Bremer Bank accounts in nearly 9 months. The current issues are that instead of connecting with the main account to include all employee credit cards, it's only connecting to one card and it won't let me add additional or make changes. I tried disabling the connection and reconnecting but now the log-in to connect the bank is asking for a Company ID. Our bank has assured me in three separate phone calls that we do not have a Company ID. Anyone else a Bremer Bank customer and having these issues? I've reached out to customer support five times and reported the issue through the feedback option with no resolution.

I have two separate bank accounts in my client's QB - PayPal and a normal banking account. The bank account funds the PayPal account via bank transfers and PayPal uses those funds to pay contractors. My question is how do I match 6+ month-old transfers from the bank account to the PayPal account? I was told by the QB support team that anything over 6 months old would not match due to the age of the transaction. If I go into each account and select "transfer" to record the transaction in each bank account, I will see a double entry on my balance sheet thus throwing it off drastically. Instead of recording double entries and then going back into the balance sheet to correct the error (zeroing out or voiding), is there a better way to go about this and essentially not have to do double the work? Thanks in advance!
