Hi Quickbooks Community – What causes a closed build assembly to unintentionally revert back to pending build status?Below is one cause. However, what are other causes? Causes: 1. After a build assembly was closed, and someone does an inventory adjustment with a date before the build assembly was closed. In this case, it would have been a negative inventory adjustment that reduced the quantity of a part that was needed to close that build. (For example, let’s say a build assembly “Cabinet” was closed on 7/30/23 and that build has a bill of materials needing 8 knobs. Let’s say after 7/30/23, someone mistakenly made an inventory adjustment with a date of 7/27/23 to remove 2 knobs from stock, which takes our knob stock down from 8 to 6. As a result, the “Cabinet’ build that was closed would revert back to pending build status since QuickBooks now shows we don’t have enough knobs stock (we now have only 6 instead of the 8 requir

Our business does both sales and rentals. Sales tax is due on sale items by the 20th of the month following the month in which the sale was made, regardless of when payment is collected. Sales tax on rentals is not due until the 20th of the month following the month in which the payment is actually collected. Is there a way to obtain separate sales tax reports for sales and rentals in Quickbooks desktop so we can report sales on the accrual basis and rentals on the cash basis? Thank you
I need those forms for a health insurance audit. Last week, I downloaded the quarters my insurer wanted, this week they tell me that they need a few quarters that they didn't initially ask for. So I log back into my quickbooks account, and the unemployment filings have disappeared without a trace. Not just the one ones I need, but all of them. This is bizarre.Anyone have an idea where to go start looking ?
We deduct health insurance premiums from our workers payroll. Those withholdings go into a liability account in our school's QB account until I pay the health insurance invoice. I accidentally paid the invoice from the church's QB account and not the school's. How do I clear the liability in the school account since I paid the invoice from the church account? I am not sure what line items to use on a Journal Entry.
We have been utilizing quickbooks desktop for the past 10 years, but they have made it so we had no other choice but to transfer to QB online, which is a subpar program at best. When i went to print my W2's to mail they were incorrect. Not only have they failed to fix this, but its Jan 30, i havent heard a word from them, and my page says that they are being filed. The first problem with that is i had all of my auto payments turned off, i didn't want them doing anything FOR me. Now, i have no way to fix the issue, and i'm stuck in limbo. If they would just confirm they arent going to send it in i could print the W2 and W3 from a different program and mail in the hard copies to the correct destinations. However, the only response i get is that they sent the issue to the backend where they will fix it. WHEN will they fix it? It was brought to their attention nearly 2 weeks ago and besides me contacting them multiple times, there is still no resolve. Are they going t
No matter how many times I try to edit, QB automatically is adding the additional four digits to my ZIP code, which is causing it to not match the IRS records exactly.
I am set up to efile but my 10 digit - said it had expired. what do i do about that? is it an IRS thing ro QB thing.. i can epay for not efile. i called IRS - they said it was something to reset in QB -- QB says i need to get it set via IRS. maybe i don't know the correct wording but it's becoming very frustrating. I tried to re-enroll but it was rejected because i'm already enrolled. i just need a new pin - i know where to put it when i get a new one -- should be easier if it expires every so often. thank you!
how do I print the 1096 to mail with 1099's
Hello, Thanks for readiing this and your help. QB DESKTOP Multiple trusts pay the management company management fees for properties owned (all the same family). I ran the report for payments to the managment company and got a total. But we also reimburse for insurance, etc. When I filtered (customize report) for just the managment fees the report came out blank! Yikes! What did I do wrong?! I am looking to be able to create the P&L Budget Performance Report in QBO and it does not exist. However, it does exist in QB Desktop. Any ideas as to why it is not an option in Online and how to get Quickbooks to make it available? Thanks in advance!

I frequently get "unexpected error, try again later" when I void invoices. How do I fix this?
I e-filed my 940 but keep getting notifications saying that it still needs to be filed. The payment has also cleared and is showing in my check register. I have tried to tap the e-file button again and I get an error message saying "oops, this form cannot be e-filed". I have also tried to click the file manually button, and get an error saying "oops, this form cannot be archived". So do I now need to send in the form manually even though I see a payment has been made?
I have used QB online for over 8 years. I have spent a great deal on money for the service. I am finding that I cannot get anyone on the phone to help me, the program is dragging, lots of glitches, something's or actions won't work. For example, I had to change my bank login info, QB will not let me update it for whatever reason. I've been messing with it for days. I spend more time sitting here trying to figure out why its screwed up than I do working. I cant seem to get a real person to help me. What do yall think can be done? What am I missing here? How can i get a better experience out of qb?thanksDale

HiThe company I work for has a checking account they have used for a number of years. A couple of years ago We received money donated for a sister company and deposited into the checking account. The amount has been reducing and we have a separate class to show where expenses are posted to (which company). Now my manager wants me to split the account in Desktop so that the account reflects the remaining balance of the sister company. Please can you tell me the easiest/simplest way to do this (without having to undo 2 years of transactions) so that they can have this going forward. thank you so much

Does anyone else have issues with their QB Checking account statements being incorrect??? I don't see how I'm supposed to reconcile this account when the statements are wildly inaccurate. I do not understand how they can continue to get away with these shady practices. For example, the month I started the account the statement Account summary shows:Beginning Balance $0Credits +$2,347.70Debits -$1,288.54Ending Balance $1,059.16Calculate that & it comes out correct. However, the actual amounts are as follows:Beginning Balance $0Credits +$2,760.20Debits -$2,160.20Which does NOT come out to the ending balance. They don't show a running balance so there's no way to check the accuracy with that. How can an ACCOUNTING SOFTWARE COMPANY screw up something as simple as addition and subtraction???? Jump to the next month, the summary shows:Beginning Balance $1,059.16(which we've established was incorrect)Credits +$4,176.27Debits -$4,181.01Ending Balance $1,054.42The actual Credits are $6,688.
I'm trying to file my 2024 940, and it says: QuickBooks has determined that you have $23,020.52 in exempt payments. I've never run into this before, why is it not calculating correctly? How do I fix this so I can file my 940? I use QuickBooks Desktop Premier Edition.
I've been asked to make the "Professional" and "Unit" columns have a drop-down menu where someone could select the professional's name / unit of time (hour/day/month). I can't find a tutorial on how to do this anywhere - is it even possible? Using QuickBooks Pro 2023 Desktop.
