I am trying to delete a credit card that was accidentally saved by a co-worker. The customer is very upset that his card number is saved in our system and wants it removed. I saw the option of entering a non transacting card number but that information must be out-of-date because it doesn't work. This seems like a HUGE problem and I am concerned about legal ramifications if this can't be done. Will someone please help?

Dear QuickBooks Support, I wanted to provide some feedback regarding the messaging displayed to clients when they view their invoices—specifically, the message prominently centered on the page that reads: “Looking for a way to pay? We can let Company LLC know you’re not sure how.” with clickable buttons of "Yes, let them know" or "No thanks" As a business owner, I find this phrasing to be off-putting and undermining to the professional relationship we maintain with our clients. It suggests that our billing processes might be unclear or difficult to navigate and all to promote payments with QBO. I would greatly appreciate it if you could provide an option to either turn off this message or modify it to better suit our communication style. This would allow us to maintain a professional and tailored approach to our client interactions. One of my employees recently got married. I changed her last name in the "Employee" tab of Quickbooks Online Payroll. But the Time module (and our timeclock kiosk) still show her former name. Is there a way to manually sychronize employee details between Quickbooks payroll and Quickbooks time?
How do I add a new filter to the dropdown menu in Reports? I need to filter by Source Name and that is not an option.
I have a client that has open credit memos. I can see them on client profile page. But when I go into receive payment, there is no credit memo box at the bottom for me to apply the credits. It seems to be only effecting 1 client.
Good afternoon all, Last week I set up a forecast for this year and I entered $1M as our expected revenue (account 700). Yesterday I printed our forecast for the 3rd quarter, for the first 3 quarters of 2024 and one through the 4th quarter of 2024. The 3rd quarter and the 3 quarters are fine but there is $1M in revenue (700) + another $1M in uncategorized income (4999) in the 4th quarter in the printed report that does not show on the actual forecast. Issue is that it doubles my income. I tried making 4999 inactive, but it doesn't remove it. Any ideas? Thanks, Taylor
We recently hired an employee outside Canada and I'd like to add her in our payroll. However, the employee doesn't have a SIN and an address here in Canada. How do I set up her payroll account?
After being with our organization for 10-year our employees are eligible for longevity checks. I have recently compared adding the longevity to the regular paycheck vs a separate check for longevity. There is a not-insignificant difference. Is there a way to have two payroll checks for one employee when they are due to get their longevity check?
I registered my company with TWC TX for UI account number, at the same time QBO assigned a different number for the same company. How can I merge both numbers and use one of them only for the same company?
After adding time entries for contractors the last pay period, exiting time entries to a different screen, e.g., dashboards or other, then re-entering the time entries screen and selecting a date range for the last pay period, with display by set to contractors or all team members - the contractors do not appear. However, if I put in the date range using Custom then the contractors show up. Shouldn't they always show up. If I put in a date range of this month or last month, contractors do appear.
I just realized that when I make an address change to an invoice in our 2013 QB desktop version, that ALL the invoices for that company change. How do I prevent that from happening so the change stay to that one invoice.

My client turned on the Square automated savings for 2023, and I am having a hard time recording these transactions. My client has close to 90 transactions that are not recorded due to this automated savings. When I created a Savings account under Banks, it got recorded as a payment instead of deposit. I've undo what I did, and it's sitting there in the Bank Transactions screen waiting for me to add These transactions don't tie to sales receipts. I've already reconciled the income accounts for 2023. If I add these transactions under "income", it will overstate P&L. What is the proper procedure for recording automated savings and interest payment from Square? Please see attached file.
Every time I open an invoice to edit it, the columns revert back to different (random) sizes than what I set them at when I last saved the invoice. For example, the due date column reverts back to very wide (more than needed for a date) and the description column reverts back to very narrow making it difficult to read the contents. This happens EVERY time I reopen a previously saved invoice and I have to readjust ALL of the columns AGAIN so I can see the contents the way they should appear. I have 'Custom Invoice' checked in Customize, but the editing version of the invoice doesn't keep the column sizes I set or the way they are in the Custom Invoice template. The editing version even shows a Service Date column which is not on my template or needed for our invoices. How do I get the columns to stay at the size I put them at when creating and saving the invoice?
We have been using QODBC and Crystal Reports for several custom payroll reports for about 10years now. Recently, the reports have quit working. When I connect to the data under Crystal Reports, Excel or the QODBC Test Tool the data is not coming through like it used to. When looking at sp_report PayrollTransactionDetail the "PayrollItem" field is no longer popluating. What has changed and how do we correct it?
I am a former CPA and I understand accrual accounting, but I can't figure out why Quickbooks is counting my deferred revenue as sales. I am using a retainer model where the "item" on the invoice is linked to a liability account (and is appropriately flowing to the balance sheet as deferred revenue). However when I run any variation of the sales reports, the deferred revenue keeps showing up. How can I get these sales reports to exclude the deferred revenue?
I can not get the new update to invoices. When I click on "UPDATE LAYOUT" it goes to the new layout for a few seconds and then goes back to the old layout.
