I need to access my records from 2022 and earlier. I see no way to do that. Can you guide me in the right direction?
Trying to run a 1099-NEC for a vendor that was previously set up for 1099-MISC in QB Desktop. Vendor center tax settings, check "eligible for 1099." (Doesn't ask which one). Keeps showing up as 1099-Misc when I try to process it. Read all articles. Chart of Accounts edit screen - "Cleaning Services" set up as an expense. There is no option for tax line mapping, as all the screenshots show that there should be. There are only options for Description and Note. Edit, preferences, 1099 company preferences, map accounts to boxes on 1099NEC "you can do it here" yields the same results of showing box 3 on the miscellaneous for that vendor....and round and round I go.
I switched to qb online mid year and I can't find a backup of my desktop. My accountant wants the accountants copy of the 2024 items from the desktop version. How can I get a subscription to just get an accountants copy?
I am a CPA who has a small business that does sales via Shopify as well as custom invoices/sales in Quickbooks. For the Quickbooks invoices, sales tax transactions appear to be recorded correctly. For the Shopify transactions, so many things are incorrect: 1) The interface has all of the tax owed to Texas sitting in the "Shopify Sales Tax" liability account instead of the "Texas State Comptroller Payable" account. 2) The Sales Tax Liability Report is INCORRECT and should not be used for sales tax filings. It has the following 3 things wrong: #1 It is including all of Shopify revenue in Gross Total, including NON-TEXAS sales. #2 It is also including sales tax collected in the Gross Total, which is incorrect. #3 It is including all Shopify revenue that had $0 tax collected (ie: in other states where we don't have nexus, which is why $0 was collected) in the "Non-Taxable" column)3) After a painful manual calculation, I paid the state comptroller what was
During reconciliation, I discovered the tax payments per Intuit's tax history does not match the debits listed in our PNC bank account statement. Of the $90K+ of tax and withholding payments reported by Intuit, approximately $30K agrees to what PNC has listed in January, meanwhile $60K+ does not. PNC Bank has $98K of debits initiated by "Tax Intuit" that do not agree with the amounts listed in Intuit. It's a mess!
I did not receive the update for the year 2021 on the 941 Sch B although all of my other forms have been updated?
I've attached a screen shot of the "Map vendor payment accounts" and in all honesty, I think this method is one of the dumbest things I've seen from Intuit. But in this perhaps I am missing a simple solution ....Note the circle drawn around the "Account" number. This shows ** Numbers that are NOT in numerical sequence. This makes for an error prone way of trying to assign 1099 flags ** ALL of the numbers shown here have been INACTIVATED because I have restructured the GL COA to simplify processes and implement Class Tracking. In my mind, INACTIVE numbers should no longer appear in this list. Am I simply missing the way to reorganize this listing into numerical sequence? If so, how? I get that once assigned, changes mid-year aren't a good idea. However, once 1099's have been filed for a year, then changing the 1099 flag assignments shouldn't present a problem. In our case, whoever originally assigned these flags must have had a fair amount of drink before starting or
Hiso im trying to send my profit and loss report to my email. It said sent. But upon checking my email box and spam box ,there is nothing there. I have try it serveral times already. Can anyone help.
Hi everyone, I just switched over from quickbooks desktop and am having a hard time having multiple tax rates on an invoice. I need to do this because my products, trees, are taxed at wholesale while my services, delivery, are taxed at retail. Does anyone know how to do this? In quickbooks desktop it was so easy. I could subtotal my inventory items and add a tax line item that would calculate the tax right there. It doesn't seem I can do this with QBO. Any help is appreciated.
I’m beyond frustrated with QuickBooks Solopreneur right now. Every time I try to do my year-end filing, I get a “Something went wrong” error, and I have been dealing with this issue for weeks. I’ve contacted support multiple times, and the responses have been completely inconsistent. Some agents have told me that tax filing isn’t possible with Solopreneur (which is false), while others simply don’t believe me. I did have one support agent who could reproduce the bug on their end, yet I still can’t get any updates on a fix or any accurate guidance on moving forward. At this point, I feel completely stuck. Has anyone else run into this issue? If so, have you found any workaround or resolution? I need to get my taxes done, and this ongoing issue with zero transparency from support is unacceptable. I would appreciate any insights from the community or an actual update from QuickBooks.
When will the 2025 WV unemployment taxable wage base be changed from $9,521 to $9,500 in Quickbooks? It was effective 01/01/25 per the Annual Rate Statement Notice we received from WorkForce West Virginia. Thanks.
WHY CAN YOU NOT SORT THIS LAG OUTAFTER 10 MINUTES THE PAGE STILL HASNT LOADED,IM SERIOUSLY THINKING OF DITCHING QUICKBOOKS BECAUSE IT IS FAR FROM QUICKITS IMPOSSIBLE TO GET ANYTHING DONE.
Hi everyone,I'm having a problem with how sales tax is handled in QuickBooks Online through the Shopify Connector. Here's the issue:For certain Shopify transactions where no sales tax was charged (and wasn't supposed to be), QuickBooks is still showing a portion of the transaction split into "Sales" and "Sales Tax." However, the tax shouldn't exist for these transactions, as Shopify did not charge any tax.I've reviewed my Shopify settings, and there are no issues on that end. I also can't seem to find any tax mapping settings in the Shopify Connector for QuickBooks that could explain why this is happening.Has anyone experienced a similar issue or know where to configure the tax mapping in QuickBooks for the Shopify Connector? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Quickbooks has wrongly calculated the Q4 payment for my state unemployment filing. Usually the Q4 amount is much less than the Q1-Q3 amounts, and the state's website calculated my payment should be $16.50. (Q1-Q3 were correctly calculated as $49.50. How can I fix this?
Hello everyone,I need your help to register the payment of payroll taxes:I have a restaurant and I am using GUSTO platform to track payroll. Let's say I have a payroll tax expense for $1,000 of which $500 is employee taxes and $500 is employer taxes. Should I record everything as “payroll tax expense”? Since I am paying it all myself. Or is there a neater way to do it? Thank you !!
Our taxes have not been received by Missouri and there are no archived signed filings in quickbooks. When i pull the tax payment record as well as the liability report in quickbooks, both say 5692. was paid and that i owe 109. When I called quickbooks they say oh no we actually paid $5,801 dollars and gave me a electronic tracking number that the state of missouri does not recognize and cannot locate the payment. There was no filing in the archive so she manually added an unsigned form. She said she cant help me and if I want the payment record in quickbooks to match what they paid (again no payment has been received by Missouri) than I would need to journal entry the discrepancy. Is it not a basic expectation for the tax payments made by quickbooks to match what they record? Also they will provide me with no valid proof of filing and indicated they will help me once we get a notice from the state. Why would i need to journal entry to correct something
Hi - I am trying to re-print W-2 and W-3 for SSA for 2023 in QuickBooks Online. I am only seeing access to 2024 forms. Any guidance is appreciated. Thank you.
I need to access my QuickBooks, but my employer won't send me another invite, and I no longer work for this company. What should I do?
If I create an invoice for labor and materials and also want to include a credit for materials returned, what is the correct way to do that? If I include a line in the invoice for the credit, what item type should it be? I ask because if that line item is a "non-inventory part" with a negative dollar amount then it does something weird when I pull a "sales tax revenue" report. But if that line item is instead a "discount" item type with a negative dollar amount then the "sales tax revenue" report looks normal, but it doesn't correctly adjust my "sales by item" report. See Example PDF attached.
I am working with a Quickbooks online client and they process their payroll through the online service. The last two paychecks have been calculating a 0.02% employer tax that is listed as MN Additional Assessment. When I checked on their numbers under settings, this is not an option for me to fix this to calculate as 0%. I know there was talk of adding this, but it's on the system and calculating with a number that we didn't authorize.
On January 29th I pulled my 1099-NEC report from Quickbooks Enterprise Desktop and after checking everything and e filed them through Tax1099. Then I found a solicitation email from Melio, our 3rd Party Payment Processor that we use to pay almost all of our Accounts Payable invoices and charge it to our credit card of which we reconcile and pay in full each month. The email gave instructions on how to export data from Melio to Tax1099 and file 1099-NEC's. Quickbooks omits Vendor payments made by credit card and only reports payments made via Bill Payment/Check to 1099-NEC. I did some online research and determined that vendor payments that we made through our Melio/3rd Party Payment Processor, we did not have to report 1099-NEC for as it was the responsibility of the 3rd Party Payment Processor or Credit Card which seemed correct considering that Quickbooks will not allow me to include payments made via Credit Card to this tax form or any of its reports. I
I work for a CPA office and one of our clients is very upset because she informed all her vendor's emails and none of them is receiving their 1099 forms via email. Why are they receiving only hard copies? She authorized electronic filing for all of them. Could someone help me answer her? Thank you!
I use Quickbooks Enterprise 24 and Enhanced Payroll. I have verified with customer service that my version is up to date as well as my payroll. I have e-filed my W2's and clicked the box to let my employees view their W2 on the workforce site. Everyone was sent an invite prior to my filing. They have accepted and are all able to access the site. However, My W2's are not showing up in the workforce site. I have also went back into the file forms section and tried to send it to workforce again. I get the email that states that the W2 is ready for viewing with the link, however each time I go into the site the W2 is not there for 2024. Also a separate issue, I cannot print any copies for my records. I click print pdf and nothing happens. I have gone through customer service 2 times for hours troubleshooting and nothing has solved the printing issue. This is why I was falling back on the Workforce site, which appears to be not receiving the W2's. I am not sure what th
None of my contractors received their 1099 although I opted for them to be electronically and physically sent. No one has received it and it’s not in their spam mail. Any idea as to why customer services of no help and of course right now today they’re closed.
