How can I get a report that shows customer payments by product/service for a time period. For example if I want all customer payment by service/product category for October. Not what was billed but what was actually actually collected or paid that time period by product/service category?
Hello, greetings to the community.I am sharing the error I encounter when trying to save an invoice. Step by Step: 1. Create Invoices2. Slect Customers3. Select an estimate to invoice4.Save and New5. Ingnore all (3 windows) Result: Quickbooks is unable to complete this operation and needs to restart. Quickbooks will restart automatically.

Working for a nonprofit with a website that accepts donations from anyone. When receipts come into my quickbooks and are deposited automatically, if the donor isn't on my donor list, QB records as "unspecified donor". I am unable to add the name of the donor for my records. Error message says that you must delete the deposit before you may change the donor. I did that on one deposit and it made my balances incorrect. Any help is appreciated.freda
Our Banking Reconciliation process runs excessively slow in a new test environment. We have found that the issue is only happening when a user accesses the company file over a mapped drive with the FQDN (fully qualified domain name). When mapping a drive with the ip address, the process runs normally. Has anyone experienced this, or a similar issue? Thanks in advance.
When I run a transaction report by class, various invoices will show a different amount paid than the original amount, except the whole invoice was paid. How do I correct this? Example: Our February health insurance bill was $8,469.62 total. We charged $2,065.64 to Class A. We paid total the bill on April 11th. When I run my report, it shows the bill twice, with $2,065.64 under Original Amount, but under Paid Amount, it shows $245.81 and $9.77. I don't understand why, because the bill was paid in full with a single check. It wasn't partially paid. This happens typically with our health and life insurance bills, but also other vendors. The report is ran on a cash basis.

I would like to start a first time Bank Reconciliation on an checking account that has been established since 2011. I want to start reconciliation on 01/01/2024 to current. How do I get an open balance to match my open balance on my Bank statement? I will also be doing this for a credit card statement reconciliation. I want to start on 01/01/2024. How do I corrrect the opening balance to start? I am using Intuit Quickbooks Enterprise Solutions 24.0 I do not want to do any prior reconciliation before 01/01/2024
Trying to download 3 transactions from 3/3/2025.When I select download, it says no new transactions, but the transactions are not in my register. Please advise. Running QB Desktop Pro.

We had someone use one of a cards to purchase something. it was fraud and we got the credit back. Just wonder how this is usually accounted for. What GL do you put the expense in (the one the expense would normally be for?). and then when we get the money back, we do a deposit int the reverse?
Is there a way to automate a line item entry into each invoice? I am trying to add a line to each invoice that shows a credit card convenience fee without having to manually add to each invoice.

Why is my intuit account on hold
I have been locked out of QuickBooks payroll for last 5 days due to technical issues with QB back end software issues (I was told such). I get following message when trying to update my payment information. Not able to run any payroll for my clients due to such issues.... Has any one experienced this????? "Unable to process your request at this time. Please sign out and try again later. If the issue persists, please contact support and reference this message. (Error code: SERVER_COMMUNICATION_ERROR, type: SYSTEM_ERROR)"
During migration from paycom to QBO I had an employee who completed working for me in 2023, but his paycheck was received in 2024. I am locked out of Paycom so I cannot retrieve his profile info. I am in contact with him and I do have his SSN & an old mailing address. He will not provide DOB, current mailing address, and another form of ID like TDL and exp date. It seem s QBO PTO will not proceed without his information. What can I do? I have many employees waiting on their corrected 2024 W2.
I need to customize a template. I need to itemize out products and services, and also provide a LENGTHY explanation of work done. The two lines in the notes field is nowhere sufficient enough. I need a paragraph box, at least. How can I customize the template?
I have QuickBooks desktop. I went to reconcile my statement today and found that somehow QuickBooks has undone the last 6 years of reconciliation's. Now I am about 6 months behind in this task due to having to work in the restaurant instead of the office but I know for certain i have reconciled my QuickBooks every year as I can't send my accountant his copy until this is done. I talked to the support team and they have no idea what to do or how to fix this! Has anyone dealt with this before? We did have to merge my register a few months back because my bank switched to a new online service and QB automatically made a new register the first time I tried to use bank feed. Help Please

We have a small engineering practice and use QuickBooks Online for general accounting and invoicing. Most of our projects are either fixed fee or are billed hourly with a fixed maximum fee. Is it possible to enter the fee into QuickBooks as a data field as opposed to simply adding as a note for the project? We want to be able to (quickly) check status of open projects to see how much fee remains to be invoiced on each one. It would be ideal if we could generate a report showing status of all projects. Is this possible? We are a small firm but do about 350 projects a year and at any give time may have 100-200 projects which are open, so manually checking the notes on each project is very time consuming. Thanks in advance!
