A few days ago, someone answered some questions which was immensely helpful. I'm hoping to have the same success one more time. The issue that was resolved was that I had 2 credit cards that I had setup improperly in QB. I had one set as the Primary and one as the Secondary. I corrected this by creating a third item in the chart of accounts and listed it as a Primary credit card, and then set the two actual credit cards as Secondary to it. After doing this the charges and credits (payments) flowed into the Primary card and each credit card maintained the charges and payments specific to that card. Now that it has been corrected, I've discovered that having it this way for a few years caused some of my charges and payments to flow to the wrong cards. With the way it is now, one card register indicates it has a balance of -$658.52 and the other card has indicates a balance of $658.52. I have recently setup autopay and all of my customers have scheduled their monthly payments. Problem is the invoices are due on the 1st of the month, but they are complaining because their payments are being deducted 2 days earlier than the due date. How can I change this? I've tried changing the "create number of days in advance" from 2 to 0, but the system won't retain the edit... please tell me there is a workaround so I don't have to ask them all to re-sign up for autopay??
Hello, I incorrectly entered two transactions in the "Sales Tax to Pay" category under Chart of Accounts. How do I delete these? Everyt ime I try, I get this error... This transaction will cause a deleted ACCOUNTS named B_________ Checking (5015) - 1 (deleted) to have non-zero balance.
Is it possible to have two payment methods for one sales receipt? For example, customer pays with cash and credit card. I saw the answer for the Online version but it doesn't quite work in Desktop.
Curious if you can help me. When closing out the year I inadvertently deleted a liability check from 9/6/2024 for Delta Dental in the amount of $287.75, this check had already cleared and been reconciled with the bank account. I am not sure what I was thinking but it has obviously created a mess. Now my beginning bank balance is off by the exact amount for my business bank account. What is the fix here to correct this? I can’t completely close out the 2024 year and be prepared to turn over our books for taxes until this is corrected. I really don't want to go back and undo several months of reconciliations.
My primary checking account shows as connected (lightning bolt present) in the Chart of Accounts, but does not show in the Bank Feeds window. When I go to import the bank feed, it does not give the option to connect it to this checking account, apparently because it thinks that account is already connected.Trying to disconnect by the normal means does not remove the lightning bolt.If I switch the radio button to Activate, and back to Deactivate before I save, the program crashes every time.I have tried Sorting, Verify and Rebuild, etc. to no effect.When I download the IIF file for the chart of accounts, this checking account is NOT LISTED at the bottom with my other accountsI have verified that I have the latest version of QuickBooks desktop Pro Plus 2024.I contacted your support team by phone. What is happening when the system administration changes settings? What settings are being changed?
I used to be able to select "print packing slip" after creating an invoice and a packing slip would pop up that I could print out and include with deliveries. In the new invoice format when I select "print packing slip" it just populates the invoice and NOT the packing slip. Is it no longer possible to print a packing slip?

All of a sudden when I scroll through an estimate by swiping on the touchscreen, it moves whatever line item is where i touched first. I did not change any settings and I can no longer scroll through an estimate. I changed from business view to accountant view and that was not it. Please help.

For the 2nd time in as many months the "Emailing Invoices" crashes QuickBooks Desktop. I uninstalled and reinstalled all possible programs then contacted Intuit. After a couple hours on the phone they acknowledge there is a problem but in 2 days they have not come up with an answer. THIS IS MISSION CRITICAL. I cannot function without it, but Intuit does not seem to have the same priority levels. When Sending an Invoice or simply checking the "Send Forms" preference, I receive the following error: Quickbooks- Unrecoverable Error and qbmapi64 "Out of memory"
I need to run a report to see how much a specific vendor paid us over a set timeframe, but the payments are tied to different clients. For example, if Vendor 1 paid us a total of $X over 10 payments last year, with each payment associated with a different client, how can I pull a report that shows all of those payments by vendor?Additionally, when I try to search for deposits through the transaction search, I can't find them under the vendor name. The transaction search only shows the deposits if I use the client name, not the vendor. Is there a way to search for these deposits by vendor? Before the transaction and reporting page update last year, I was able to do both of these without any issues. However, now it seems like the reporting is only tied to the client and can't be searched by vendor anymore.
Is it possible in QBs Online to bill a tenant for sublease (rent) income and then customize that income to be applied against rental expense- so that the rental income reduces your rental expense. I am being billed $11k for rent by my landlord, and billing my subtenant $11k and I would like my rent expense in my P&L to be zero?thanks in advance for any help..
Desktop Pro 2023 subscription to renew fee is being charged?! I am desktop only. We don't use payroll or any on line options. $750 for the year?? I didn't pay it and QB has disabled my desktop. I can't even write checks. This is total BS
Good morning, We use a property management company for a rental properties. I am running into issues with how they are handling the rental income and how to properly document on my end. There are months that they will accept payment and do not report it due to being un-deposited funds on their end for the month but do not report the next moth either. This is mainly when we have a change in tenants for a unit. How do I properly clear the invoices I have for the rental income if I am an not actually receiving a payment. They will also not send a payment at times due to expenses taking most or all of the rent for the month. I am not really experienced in bookkeeping so I am trying to make sure I am entering this correctly.
I tried switching from QB Desktop to QB Online but it just didn't work for our company. It was missing some of the desktop functionalities such as being able to create customer invoices and switch to print customizable packing slips with item numbers but no pricing and include a customer ship to address. This feature is important to our business model and that is the main reason I had to switch back to QB Desktop. I have seen several posts in the past concerning this issue and I was wondering if this issue has been fixed? Thx!
One of my employees is having no problems with this and can do all the app offers but my other employee has an iPhone and has used the app before. I'm not sure if this matters but I can't figure out why his app won't show time tracking or scheduling and my other employee's does. What can I do to fix the problem? I've gone to permissions and its stuck as on they wont even let me change the mobile time tracking permissions.

If I create a custom report inside QB, let us say a "Transaction Detail Report", will it be accessible and can be exported thru Spreadsheet Sync? If I place new values in the columns that are out of scope of data from QB, will it move down if I enter a new transaction in QB and when it synced? Thank you.
For the past two weeks, when I search for a customer account via the email address of known customers, the search function will not produce the customer accounts that match the email address I am searching. I have cleared my cache and cookies twice and talked to QB Online support twice with no success. During the 2nd QB Online support chat, I was essentially told that nothing is wrong and if I want to find a customer via email address, I have to go to the customer contact list report and search that. Our regular email address search was functioning normally for close to a decade. I am using Google Chrome on a Windows computer that is fully updated.
Previously I was able to see all invoices and payments in the customer transaction list. Now I must choose to view either Invoices or Payments from the transaction Type drop down. How can I change the setting to see both?
