How do I set up an employee who works and is paid in two different states?
I'm confused on modifying screens and invoices or other documents. When I open a template, it shows me what the printed form will look like, but not the screen for creation of the printed document. What am I missing to see the screen image so I can modify that? The actual screen I see when entering an invoice doesn't look exactly like the image of the screen in the template. And I have looked at every template and don't see a match anywhere. It has to be me ... somebody slap me upside my head and point me in the right direction! Thanks.
Trying to file 1099s and I noticed an INDIVIDUAL contractor's address and name were not capitalized/ spelled incorrectly. I edited them by only capitalizing letters (not changing any pertinent information) and now I am getting "Missing company name" message and cannot file her 1099. Her company name, ie display name was included and correct and had not been altered at all. I found this topic in the general forum but the page redirected back to the main page and did not give the solution. Is this a glitch of some sort or is there a way to address the problem and proceed without involving my contractor and a new W9 because she had a typo?
I purchased moneythumb onetime purchase. It’s easy to use and set up however I am about to lose my mind because when I go to import it says"QuickBooks is unable to verify the Financial Institution information for this download."If I could just figure out how to resolve this issue I would 100% recommend moneythumb. I can not tell you how many hours of my life I have spent trying to resolve this. I use qbdt 2024 enterprises for contractors and I am trying to import a years worth of credit card transactions one month at a time using the web connect so that I can assign the correct accounts to each transaction and set up rules for future imports. Fifth Third corporate credit card with multiple sub accounts but only interested in uploading everything under one credit card account since moneythumb allows me to select the card user and add there name too the end of the memo line. If anyone knows how to resolve this error I continue to receive, I would be so appreciative of your help. Fingers
Here I am again, spending hours on the software I pay hundreds of dollars for each month-but I cannot find my employees' W2s anywhere. I have tried every possible troubleshooting mentioned by the Google searches I've done and nothing is coming up-there are simply no W2s. Anywhere. My New Year resolution is to get rid of Quickbooks Payroll because it's not worth the hassle and stress this platform causes me on a regular basis. This is maddening to an already very busy business owner.
Sometimes when emailing invoices via Outlook, I get a message that says email cant be sent to outlook and I need to close windows inside outlook and retry. This happens even when there are no windows open in outlook other than the program itself. Any suggestions?

On Intuit Online Payroll there was a simple button to export your payroll data into an IIF file for Import into Quickbooks Desktop. In the Quickbooks Online Payroll I was switched to, there does not seem to be that feature?
How and where do I record a loan we gave someone?I'm specifically asking about a loan we GAVE, not one we received.
I used desk top prior and if a customer paid via credit card, there was a box that asked what to do with the remainder that was owed (the amount of the fee's for CC use). Once I selected "write off" instead of leave as balance due it would allow me to continue closing out the invoice. Once I was done another box showed up at the top asking what this amount should be categorized as an I would select "bank fee's"Simple, quick and easy to track. Now that I'm on-line I have several invoices that won't clear out due to the fee's. I need help with this. Thanks much

I upgraded to QB desktop 2023 earlier this year. I just tried to print my W2 forms and it would not let me. It said I was missing several fonts. I was able to pull most of them from my old computer. One font it requires was not on my old computer and I cannot find it anywhere on the internet. I do not want to uninstall and reinstall qb for one font. Does QB have this font for download? How do I turn on decimals when entering quantities into the GoPayment App? Ex: We sold 1.5 gallons. The app only allows me to enter 1 or 2. When I enter this transaction into QB Enterprise desktop - I can use decimals. Thanks for your help! Andy

I'm using QBO and have the Expenses widget on the dashboard. It usually shows my expenses as it should, but mid-day yesterday it just started showing zero. I checked my P&L report and the expenses show there. I made sure the correct date period is selected. I am the Admin so I know I have the correct permissions. I have removed and replaced the widget, cleared the browser cache and exited and restarted QBO. Still having the problem. Any ideas for what to do next would be appreciated
Emailing of invoices has stopped working. Using a yahoo email account and reset the app password in yahoo (had to do that once before) The email will try to send but time out and give the error message about checking password with instructions for if credentials are correct click link to fix problem. However link produces a page that says "browser not supported" even though I have the updated version of intuit's required browsers. I was able to get email to work 2 times after closing QB and restarting computer, but now doing same thing again. Suggestions?
Hi,I have a client who is not fluent in QuickBooks and recently opened a new business. He created a new QuickBooks account for this business, which was a smart decision. However, he has asked me to set up payroll for the new business, and I am encountering some issues. While I was able to add employees and their details, I cannot seem to set up their actual pay runs on his new QuickBooks account. What do I need to do with this? Thank you!
I paid our nonprofit's monthly 941 15 days late. I got booted off the EFTPS site and ! fully intended to go back the next day. But I spaced it. The area we live in has been declared a disaster area per a IRS notice we received related to something else. Will we still get the 5%penalty being that we are in a disaster area? I intend to ask for mercy if we do. It's not happened before.
Hello, I was trying to record a deposit today and noticed something strange. I filled in all the fields as usual but when I got to the "Amount" field, I wasn't able to type anything in. My cursor wouldn't even go into the box. I closed the screen and looked in our bank registry and there was a deposit recorded with no amount (the correct accounts were recorded). I was able to click "Edit Deposit" and then typed the amount of the deposit directly into the register. It then went to the "Make Deposit" screen and asked me if I wanted to save the changes and I clicked yes. The deposit seems to be recorded as it should be. I guess my question is this: why can't I type numbers into the "Amount" field anymore? I am able to type numbers in all other fields as usual. I tried recorded a sample deposit and it was the same. I can't put anything into the "Amount" field. I should mention that I rarely use the "Make Deposit" section as we normally use "Receive Payments" on customer invo
I tried to file the Hawaii Copy of the W-2 by going to Employees>Payroll Tax Forms & W-2s>Create State W-2 and E-File, but Hawaii is not on the list of supported states. Hawaii requires electronic filing of the W-2s and we can submit the same file submitted to the SSA. Where can I find that file to upload to the state website?
my credit card reconcile shows a large discrepancy. Do I better to go few month back to catch the cause of it or what is best way to resoleve the issue?
