I run a material supply company that sells construction materials to development projects. All of our sales are through various development projects. Sometimes we sell one category/item (Ex. Doors) to a project. Other times, we sell multiple categories (Ex. Doors, security cameras, electronic access, etc.). First, we need to be able to track a given jobs overall profitability across all product categories (both revenue and expense - aka job costing). Second, we'd like to track each categories profitability throughout a project. (Ex. Total revenue of doors versus total expenses of doors to see gross profit of door sales on a single project) Third, we'd like to track each categories performance compared to others (Ex. how much revenue did we generate selling doors versus security cameras over a certain period of time) I understand there are tags, classes, and projects that can be used for these functions, but I'm trying to understand where and how to use e
When I run a Deposit Detail report, why do some, but not all, bill payments show up?
Is it safe to delete the CLSClientLogger.log file? It is currently sitting at over 10GB and want to delete it from our drive.
I have finalised the payrun for the month and submitted both an FPS and EPS to HMRC for the month. In the payrun, I was asked to exclude an employee from the pay-run. However, I've now been advised that the employee now needs to be paid for the month. Can you tell me how I go about re-running the payrun just for that employee, or do I re-run it for all employees? Also, if the latter, how will HMRC know to ignore the first FPS I submitted?

The previous owner of our company gave us a flash drive with his old QBDT data and Im not able to access it. My computer does not support desktop and it wont let me open the file with any other app. Suggestions?***I do NOT want to merge his files with ours***
I have a bunch of old lines (like a list two pages long) left in the QBO Bank Deposit screen from previous credit card payments that have been made by customers. How can I clear out those old names so only the current deposit customer information shows?
Hi there! We have different types of services, which we have divided into sub accounts. We can see the breakdown of services on the Sales by Product|Service report, but not on the A/R Aging Summary Report. Is there a report that shows receivables by service?
I am trying to set up my sales channels in QuickBooks and continue to receive an error message that states my subscription is expired. However it is not and the payment processed successfully. This is happening when trying to set up Shopify and Amazon. Does anyone know what may be causing this?

We signed up for Quickbooks online, set up our Merchant Services account and we were not able to accept any type of payments via credit card, debit card or ACH. Also our progress invoicing feature under account settings does not stay saved. We are not able to progress invoice. We move the button to turn on progress invoicing and hit save. When we go to progress invoice, it doesn't work. We check the setting and it has defaulted back to OFF.Currently we have had 06:43:00 of total phone call time with Quickbooks. We have spoken to customer service, payments and merchant services. They have told me they cant fix the issue.As of now we can accept payments via credit/debit card but ACH doesn't work.ACH error our clients get:"Payment Declined
Hello. I am trying to set up my direct deposit information and I keep getting the following message: We're having trouble confirming your bank info. Try again. I have called customer support at least half a dozen times and they keep transferring me to other departments that cannot help. It appears no one has ever seen this message before, or at least that how they regard it. I have called my back and my employer, and there is no error on their end. I have tried everything and anything to set up my deposit info, but I just keep getting this error. And yes, the information is correct. And yes, double checked with the bank. Has anyone had similar issues?

Hello, I am relatively new to quickbooks to am still learning. I am based in Austria and require a tax accountant to file my VAT returns. The accountant has access to my QBO, but is having issues including how to find and sort certain transactions. Our company purchases a number of items from other EU countries, which are subject to the 0% reverse charge mechanism, and the accountant would like all of these clearly labelled for her to identify. My question is therefore in general, what is the best way to both view, and filter transactions in a period (in this case quarterly). Is there a best practice?Thanks a lot
I am a long time QB Online customer and I just noticed when I went to Transactions, Link Accounts, Manage Connections that my personal WF bank accounts are showing up on the list along with the business accounts that I manage. I'm not sure how that happened, they are not visibile in QB as bank accounts, but why are they showing up in the account list at all? I am using a WF Guest User ID with only access to the 4 accounts for the business.Any help would be appreciated!Thanks!Lisa
The same customer paid a previous invoice on 11/8 and that is the date shown as this one was paid. I cannot delete or void it without having the money transfer to a new invoice. How can I adjust it?
Quickbooks desktop pro 2021. I have 2 small company files and have this problem with both of them. Every time I close Quickbooks the text " [conflicted] " gets added to the file name. After a week my file names look like this --> Companyname [conflicted] [conflicted] [conflicted] [conflicted] [conflicted] [conflicted] [conflicted].QBWI have tried repairing, verifying and rebuilding the file from the utilities menu. I have also run all the options in the Tool Hub. I have backed up the files and restored them in a new directory. The problem persists. Other than changing the file name Quickbooks works normally. I don't get any error messages. There is no indication of what the problem might actually be.

My name is Gerardo, and I have had a dispute with a client since July that appears won in my Intuit account. We have been spending hours on the phone with Intuit's commercial services without getting an answer. To this day, Intuit has not given me evidence of why the money has not been deposited into my account if the dispute appears as won.I have collected case numbers that Intuit has given me due to all the calls I have made. In addition, I have spent hours trying to resolve this process, and I still do not have an answer.Today, I called Intuit again, since in my call on November 15, the Intuit commercial services agent told me that on September 19, Intuit had deposited the amount and would resolve the deposit during the week.
